Claire Collins studied for a BA in Fine Art at Kingston University, after which she did a Diploma in Interior Design with KLC School of Interior Design in London. Claire then started her career as an interior designer with Smallbone of Devizes. Following marriage and a move to South Africa, she established her own interior design business in Johannesberg and Cape Town, which she ran successfully for 10 years.

Claire’s residential and commercial projects included houses in the rich suburbs of Johannesberg, summer houses in Cape Town, country hotels and farm estates along the garden route, and the Hyatt Hotel in the city of Johannesberg.

In 2000 she returned to her home town of Bath, where Concept Interior Design & Decoration Ltd was formed. Her recent work includes various residential and commercial properties in and around Bath, including manor houses, city apartments and town houses, hotels and restaurants.

Claire has always had a keen eye for elegance and simplicity and is equally at home with a range of styles, often integrating contemporary design into period settings.

Claire approaches each project using a great deal of research and individuality – her skills are in design and buying and she combines the two to achieve optimum results.
